While the NHL’s schedule release day is nowhere near the event it is for the NFL, it is an important date on the league calendar. For the Panthers, a team with more of a travel burden than almost any other in the East, they can start to plan all of the intricacies they need to keep their players healthy and sharp over a long regular season grind. Their ability to manage it so well is part of the secret to their playoff success and overall longevity.
