Carter Verhaeghe’s hockey journey is one any kid dreaming of playing in the NHL can look to for hope and inspiration.
Verhaeghe fought his way through the farm systems of three different NHL teams for five years before winning the Stanley Cup with the Tampa Bay Lightning and blossoming into a star, and eventually, a franchise legend for the Florida Panthers.
And now he has a brand new eight-year, 56 million contract to show for it.
