Eetu Luostarinen Will Be Key In Florida Panthers Playoff Push
Eetu Luostarinen’s impact gets overlooked, but he played a key role in the Florida Panthers’ Stanley Cup victory last year — and he will be key again in their quest to repeat.
FORT LAUDERDALE — Eetu Luostarinen does a lot for the Florida Panthers, and much of it goes unnoticed.
The 26-year-old left winger has nine goals and 23 points this season, but his impact on the Panthers goes far beyond that. He has been an anchor on the penalty kill, a key contributor to their defensive success and 5-on-5 and will be leaned on heavily come playoff time.
“He’s a great player,” Luostarinen’s longtime linemate Anton Lundell told Pucks and Palms.
“He is so skilled, so hard to play against and he has so many good, small details in his games that a lot of people don’t about in the news. Maybe you don’t see him on the scoresheet, but he is a big reason why we had success last year, and obviously this year as well.”
