With Aleksander Barkov and Matthew Tkachuk both out of the lineup with injuries, Anton Lundell has stepped up and looked like a bonafide first-liner for the Florida Panthers.

That rise was inevitable after the postseason he put together for himself during Florida’s run to the 2024 Stanley Cup.

On paper, Lundell had three goals and 14 points, but the run accomplished much more than that: He is a much more confident shooter, a bigger driver in play and has overall blossomed into that top-end forward that the Panthers believed he could be.
