Florida Panthers: Game Preview, Lineups for Dec. 12 Game at Vancouver Canucks
J.T. Miller will make his return to the Vancouver Canucks lineup against the Florida Panthers in a Thursday night clash.
The Florida Panthers will be playing against a Vancouver Canucks team that just got a whole lot healthier over the past week.
Days after star goaltender Thatcher Demko made his return to the lineup in a 4-3 overtime loss to the St. Louis Blues, JT Miller will be making his return to the lineup on Thursday night against the Panthers.
Miller, who scored 37 goals and 106 points for Vancouver last season, had been out of the lineup since Nov. 17 while dealing with a personal matter.
“I’m excited to play,” Miller told reporters in Vancouver. “I want to play, and obviously it’s a fun game to play against the defending champions, so I’m happy to be around the guys and I’m looking forward to tonight.”
Vancouver has done a solid job of keeping itself above water without two of its biggest stars, starting the season 14-8-5 while holding onto a wild card spot.
Stars Quinn Hughes (32 points) and Elias Pettersson (26 points) have led the way while Jake DeBrusk and Pius Suter have exploded off to 13-goal and 11-goal starts respectively.
With Miller back in the fold, the Canucks are going to be an even deeper offensive team. Not to mention their star goaltender is also back in tow.
THE NEWS
