Florida Panthers: Lines, Updates, Preview for Jan. 26 Game at Vegas Golden Knights
The Florida Panthers have beaten the Vegas Golden Knights in three consecutive matchups since losing to them in the 2023 Stanley Cup Final.
The hockey world may have thought the 2023 Stanley Cup Final rematch has lost its gusto, but the Florida Panthers surely have not.
In a game scheduled head-to-head with the NFL’s golden goose AFC Championship Game match-up between Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs and Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills, the Panthers look to take revenge on the Golden Knights for the fourth-straight time.
And, yes, revenge still applies after the Panthers captured a Stanley Cup of their own in 2024.
“It’s nothing different,” Gustav Forsling said before the first match-up between these two teams this season in October. “We don’t feel any different. We still want to beat those guys as bad as before.”
The Panthers won in overtime, 4-3, while playing shorthanded with Matthew Tkachuk, Aleksander Barkov and Jonah Gadjovich out of the lineup with an injury. It was clear the 17 skaters who did get to play in that game wanted it badly.
The Golden Knights will be a tough test, as usual. They currently have the fourth-best record in the league even after going 1-4-1 in their past six games.
