With training camp quickly approaching, there are still some quality free-agents without contracts.

Perhaps the defending champion Florida Panthers could give one of them a shot to fill one of the holes created this offseason.

The departures of Brandon Montour and Oliver Ekman-Larsson left a big void defensively and on the power play while the Panthers have yet to address the hole Vladimir Tarasenko left on the third line via free agency either.

It is worth noting that Mackie Samoskevich is the current in-house favorite to fill that role.

But with the number of free-agent fits out there, it’s worth throwing some competition in the mix as well.
