There is a lot to talk about headed into the Florida Panthers’ Eastern Conference final clash with the Carolina Hurricanes. You asked some questions, I answered them.
The Florida Panthers are looking to make their third-straight trip to the Stanley Cup Final, and the only thing standing in their way is a familiar foe.
That would be the Carolina Hurricanes.
While Florida’s first two opponents got the postseason with an offensive attack filled with speed, the Hurricanes play a game closer to Florida’s — tight defensively and physical on the forecheck.
Carolina made it to the Eastern Conference final by easily shutting down the Jack Hughes-less New Jersey Devils, then holding a Washington Capitals team that was lighting up the scoresheet in the regular season to just three goals in the final three games of their second-round series.
