Panthers Forward Anton Lundell Out With Injury vs. Toronto Maple Leafs
Florida Panthers forward will miss Wednesday night’s game with an injury after taking a puck to the face in Monday night’s game vs. Washington.
SUNRISE, Fla — Florida Panthers center Anton Lundell will miss Thursday night’s game against the Toronto Maple Leafs after taking a puck to the face in the team’s previous game against the Washington Capitals.
Lundell returned to Monday night’s game after receiving stitches and participated in the team’s morning skate while wearing a fishbowl visor on Wednesday.
Florida coach Paul Maurice originally had Lundell pinned as a game-time decision for the game against Toronto. He was ruled out.
”I’ll let you know by game-time how he feels,” Mauirce said on Wednesday morning. “I don’t know if anything is going to fruition until we find out if Lundy can see out of that thing [the visor] because he may be in the lineup, but I might just play him with a different style of player because of it. I’ll sort that out when I get the report on Lundell.”
The 2020 first-round pick has seven goals and 16 points in 22 games this season for the Panthers.
Jonah Gadjovich, who was day-to-day with an apparent injury, will draw back into the lineup on the fourth line while Jesper Boqvist will center the third line with Eetu Luostarinen and Mackie Samoskevich.
