Panthers Notebook: Kulikov is Week-to-Week; Marchand and Tkachuk Update
The Florida Panthers are expected to be without Dmitry Kulikov for a few weeks. Brad Marchand and Matthew Tkachuk remain on the same timeline.
Injuries continue to pile up for the Florida Panthers.
Dmitry Kulikov will be out week-to-week with an upper-body injury he sustained on Sunday night against the New York Islanders. Per coach Paul Maurice, the team hopes he can return before the end of the regular season.
Florida called up Tobias Bjornfot from AHL Charlotte to fill in on the blueline. He has yet to record a point in eight NHL games this season and is a plus-2 while averaging 13:24 of time-on-ice.
Brad Marchand and Matthew Tkachuk remain on the same timeline on rehabbing their respective injuries.
Marchand is week-to-week with an upper-body injury he sustained on March 1. He began skating with the Panthers last week in Boston and has continued to do so ever since.
Florida could get its new trade deadline acquisition in the lineup at some point before the end of the regular season.
Tkachuk has been out of the lineup since the team returned from the 4 Nations break on Feb. 22 with an apparent groin injury he sustained during the tournament. He was placed on long-term injured reserve prior to the trade deadline and is not expected to return to the lineup until the postseason.
