Three Burning Questions as Florida Panthers Reach Midway Point of 2024-25 Season
The Florida Panthers find themselves in a solid spot at the midway point of the NHL season, but what needs to go right for them to repeat as Stanley Cup Champions?
The Florida Panthers are entering the halfway point of their season in a pretty good spot.
Florida sits at 24-15-2 (50 points) and is five points clear of the Boston Bruins for second place in the Atlantic Division. At this point of their Stanley Cup-wining campaign last year, the Panthers were 27-12-2 (56 points) and were one point shy of the Bruins for first in the Atlantic Division.
All things considered, especially when weathering a stretch where the blue line has been fairly depleted, the Panthers are doing well.
They trail the Toronto Maple Leafs by four points for the Atlantic Division title while having a sizable 10-point cushion ahead of the pack of teams on the outside looking into the playoff picture.
But beyond the surface are a few questions that need to be answered as the team heads into the second half of the season.
