Welcome to the 2024-25 Season; Here’s What to Expect
Pucks and Palms will officially begin its first season of operation on Tuesday when the Florida Panthers take on the Boston Bruins — here’s what to expect.
Whelp, after a few long months of waiting, the Florida Panthers are finally set to begin their quest to defend their Stanley Cup title on Tuesday night when they take on the Boston Bruins.
And thus, officially begins the first season of operations for PucksandPalms.com.
I want to begin this “state of the union” article, so to speak, off by thanking everyone for their support when I started this venture throughout training camp.
The success of this venture has by far surpassed my wildest expectations during training camp and hopefully we can continue to keep the momentum going as we enter the 2024-25 regular season.
And with that, let me give you a peak behind the curtain on what we have planned on top of the daily Panthers news, features and game coverage on PucksandPalms.com
Mondays: Coast to Coast — A Weekly NHL Column
Every Monday, I will take a look at some of the more interesting stories around the NHL, and heck, sometimes just in the hockey world itself extending to college hockey, the minor leagues and women’s hockey.
I’ve always been a big hockey nerd and I love keeping up with all of the fun storylines around the league, so I’ll share those with you on a weekly basis. I will kick this one off next week.
This one will be free for everyone, because why gatekeep that?
Thursdays: The Pucks and Palms Podcast
In case you missed it last week, The Pucks and Palms Podcast launched last week and will air every Thursday from here on out.
Matt Lichtenstadter and I will chat about all of the pressing topics in Pantherland, talk to a fun guest some weeks, and take a look around the league for an hour every week.
Last week, we had ESPN’s Greg Wyshynski on the show to take a look at how the Panthers fare, the new Amazon documentary and some trending topics around the NHL.
You can find the podcast right here on Substack or at some of your favorite streaming platforms below.

Fridays: Film Room Friday
Each Friday, I will take a closer look back at all of the little things a certain player or line brings to the Florida Panthers.
I will nerd out and touch on all of the small details I notice from game film throughout that week on a specific player, line or concept that is notable in that span. That could be anything from how freakishly good Gustav Forsling is on defense or what Adam Boqvist brings to the top power play unit.
This one is for the paid subscribers, so be sure to subscribe if you want to nerd out on Panthers hockey.
Monthly: Subscriber Exclusive Mailbag
This one doesn’t need an introduction.
You guys bring me your most pressing questions surrounding the Florida Panthers, hockey, or sometimes stuff like food and movies, if we want to have some fun, and I’ll answer them each month.
It’s a great way to connect with the folks who support my work each month, so it’ll stick around as a staple towards the end of each month.
