Where the Florida Panthers Stand Heading Into Trade Deadline Day
The Florida Panthers made four trades in the days before the trade deadline. Could anything else be coming today?
The Florida Panthers enter the trade deadline having already made four trades to bolster their roster in their hunt for a second-straight Stanley Cup.
Florida made its big splash on Saturday, adding Seth Jones to its blue line in exchange for Seth Jones and first-round pick, before making smaller moves to acquire depth forward Nico Sturm and back-up goaltender Vitek Vanecek from the San Jose Sharks.
The Panthers also swapped third goaltenders with Winnipeg, shipping out Chris Driedger for Kaapo Kahkonen.
So, going into deadline day, the Panthers addressed all three of their biggest needs: a right-shot defenseman who can play Top 4 minutes, a back-up goaltender, and an upgrade to the fourth line.
Is anything else going to be coming?
